YALM
21-24 Royal Arcade, Castle Street, Norwich NR2 1NQ We're in the private dining room upstairs on the first floor. Drinks can be ordered from and delivered direct to our room by scanning a QR code on your phone. YALM showcases some of the best independent kitchens in the region so you'll probably want to stay for food too! The first floor has wheelchair accessible lift, but there is one step going down to our room. You can park in one of the many multi storeys around the city, but probably best to walk, cycle or jump on a bus if you can. |
THAT LITTLE NORFOLK STUDIO
Church Lane, Wymondham NR18 0PH The venue is upstairs at the Abbey School Rooms, so unfortunately not suitable for those with limited mobility. There are handrails on both sides of the stairs. There is free on-street parking on Becketswell Road plus plenty of car parks in town just a short walk away. |
Clara is known for her lively uke sessions for adults and children, which she has brought to schools, community groups, and festivals since 2013.
Before joining ILOVEUKE Clara organised arts and music projects at Community Music East and The Garage. She began her musical journey at 18 in all-female punk band PMT, depped in The Uk Subs for several tours and later founded punk ukulele band The Pukes, performing at gigs and festivals across the UK and Europe. Clara also plays bass and guitar and enjoys sewing and crochet. |
Gemma founded ILOVEUKE in July 2009. She teaches ukulele in groups of 2-10 year olds at lunchtime and after school, as well as private lessons from her home in Wymondham, Norfolk.
Norwich Ukulele Society was founded by Gemma in February 2010, and it still goes strong with over 40 members today. She has played the ukulele, guitar and bass guitar in various bands and toured in the USA and Europe. She is one half of duo Sink Ya Teeth as well as a solo electronic artist, and has now produced her own children's musical book. |
