Clara WisemanClara started her first all female punk band when she was 18 and was founder member of ukulele band The Pukes who regularly performed at gigs and festivals in the UK and Europe.
In 2013 she received funding from Arts Council England to develop a series of ukulele workshops and has since brought her fun and friendly uke sessions to schools, community groups and festivals. Clara organised arts and music projects at Community Music East and The Garage before becoming a full time ukulele tutor. She also plays bass and guitar and loves to sew and crochet . |
Emily EagleEmily fell in love with the ukulele when she joined punk band The Pukes. During her time with the group she sang backing vocals at gigs and festivals, recorded an album, created videos and helped deliver ukulele workshops.
Emily enjoys teaching younger children. She believes that the ukulele, with its fun and approachable nature, is an excellent introduction to learning instruments. Her goal is to make music education enjoyable and accessible, sparking a lifelong love for music. Emily loves punk, rockabilly and all things vintage. When she's not teaching ukulele she makes hair flowers. |
